WMA Meeting Nov 8th 2011
Following the Inaguration of Tim as a new member of the WMA, there was a talk by Will Gray, who give us some very practical and commercial effects to use.

WMA Dinner Oct 21st 2011
The WMA Annual Dinner was one of the best in recent years. Entertainment at the tables was well organised and substantial, augmented by Laura London going to most. The Vox brothers gave a very good show, with a bullet catch (from a powerful catapult), and a demonstration of a Spirit cabanet (see picture below). This was followed by Laura London with a number of magic effects, including the one that she did on the Penn & Teller show. Mike Danata completed the evening with a number of songs, sprinkled with a little magic.

AGM Oct 11th 2011
After the AGM, a picture was taken of the members who were present (click on the picture to get a high definition one for downloading). The evening was completed by Tim Waugh's excellent audition.

The WMA Harry Potter Trophy, Aug 9th 2011
A competion between two talented teams, where the points total was exactly even - a fair result. The competiton followed the induction of a new member

Entertained by the Devonshire Magic Circle, April 12th 2011
Thanks to the Devonshire Magic Circle for a very entertaining evening. There was our normal good turn-out, with a buffet, followed by introductions, some great Magic, chaos with tooth-brushes and plates in the interval, and our President being threatened with a soaking.

WMA One-day Convention, 3rd April 2011

Blackpool Convention, 19, 20 & 21st February 2011

WMA Monthly Meeting, 8th February 2011
As well as a very interesting lecture by Simon Lane about children's magic, there was the pleasure of welcoming another three new members to the Association. Below are Chris Keward, Barry Lees and Ken Leonard.

WMA Christmas Party, 14th December 2010
As usual, the Christmas party was open to guests, and entertainment and a buffet was provided. The pictures show how everyone enjoyed themselves.

WMA Annual General Meeting, 12th October 2010
This year's AGM was started with the pleasant duty of welcoming two new members into the Association. Below are Russ Andrews and Terry Lawton with the 2009/10 President, David Pennington.
After the meeting, Russ - now a full member - entertained us with a short talk which showed us over a dozen (relatively) easy card effects.

Competition Night, July 13th 2010

The standard this year was exceptionally high, and all the competitors were excellent. Congratulations to all.

The Bournemouth One Day Magic Convention 2009
Organised by the Wessex Magical Association is at the Kinson Community Centre, Millhams Lane, Kinson, Bournemouth BH10 7LH. It takes place every 2 years.
The Convention took place at the Kinson Community Centre on Sunday April 5th 2009. It was a resounding success. A few pictures and some details are available on this link.

The Wessex Magical Association Dinner 2008
The WMA annual dinner and cabaret was, once again, a wonderful evening. Held on Friday 3rd October 2008 at the Heathlands Hotel in Bournemouth, the cabaret featured Mark Worgan (who made us all laugh with his comedy & magic) and Amethyst (who made us gasp at their illusions).

Many of the club members made the evening truly enjoyable by providing close-up magic at the tables during the evening.
